During our community outreach initiative, club members laid over 7,500 wreaths at the Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD, while also engaging in youth gardening projects that promote garden therapy.
Club members lead floral design classes for patients at various local senior facilities, incorporating elements of garden therapy. These classes often include projects like wreath laying for special occasions, such as the Christmas float event. Additionally, they promote community outreach by engaging youth gardening initiatives, inspiring younger generations to appreciate floral artistry.
Club members engage in community outreach by designing and constructing a Christmas float for the annual Cambridge Christmas Parade, while also incorporating elements of garden therapy and youth gardening.
Club members partner with the Robbins YMCA for after school and summer camp programming, which includes engaging activities like youth gardening and community outreach. During the holidays, they also create a Christmas float and organize events such as wreath laying and garden therapy to foster community spirit.
