Chrysalis: A New Beginning.
Message from the President
(and Introduction to DGC 2023-2024 YearBook)
Dorchester Garden Club members and millions of others experienced 2 years of unexpected isolation and events unprecedented in today's modern world. But this past 2 years, with the leadership of David Adams, our members have slowly emerged to greet spring of 2023. It's a new beginning.
Much like the wonder of a chrysalis, spring's awakening of nature is inspiring and exciting. Shovels, rich dirt, spades, fertilizers, spring rains, hard work, hopes, dreams, and of course bursting buds of color fill our lives with beauty and joy. Sharing gardening experiences and knowledge is Dorchester Garden Club.
We will continue our mini flower shows each month to provide opportunities to increase our knowledge of horticulture and of Creative Design. Other programs for the year focus on fun, fellowship, and skills for enhancing our gardens. We plan to once again celebrate the Christmas season at the Hyatt. This will be a highly favored opportunity, featuring an acclaimed designer whose presentation will be both entertaining and educational. It is my hope that together we will nurture each other with our love for gardening, growing and developing this new beginning as the chrysalis, transformed into a gorgeous butterfly.
