Speaker: Jim Brighton,
       Co-Founder Maryland Biodiversity Project
Jim is a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore. Having grown up outside of Cambridge on LeCompte Creek, Jim’s fascination with nature began at an early age. Jim started the Maryland Biodiversity project in 2012 with Bill Hubick. Jim was named the 2017 Chesapeake Champion by the University of Maryland Center of Environmental Science, Horn Point Laboratory, an award established to recognize individuals in the community for their stewardship of land, water and wildlife through their volunteer actions. He was also awarded the Maryland Wildlife Conservationist of the Year in 2017 by the MD Dept. of Natural Resources."
Come and learn how the Maryland Biodiversity Project has become one of the leading conservation non-profits in the Mid-Atlantic. We will learn how to use the MBP website to gather information on native and introduced plant and animal species, plus we will peruse some of the amazing photography hosted in the MBP database.
